Falstaff Wineguide Austria/South Tyrol 2021/22

The Strasserhof is one of the oldest wineries in the Isarco Valley. The winery is located in Neustift, one of the northernmost wine-growing areas in South Tyrol, at an altitude of 680 to 750 meters above sea level. Since 2003, the grapes have been skilfully processed and marketed by Hannes Baumgartner's family business. Mainly traditional white wine varieties such as Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Sylvaner, Kerner, Grüner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer are cultivated on 5.5 hectares of vineyards. In recent years, the former insider tip has become a reliable address for excellent, polished white wines.
