The Klampfl family, now in its fourth generation, has been cultivating more than 14 hectares of vines since 1934. The Pannonian climate and the brown limestone soil favor the cultivation of vines and their healthy growth. The soils are well drained and warmed by the underlying weathered debris and the deep layers of alluvial soil. The Fischafeld and Mühläcker vineyards are home to Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Müller Thurgau, Zweigelt, Merlot, St. Laurent and Blauer Portugieser, among others. In 2008, the Sauvignon Blanc variety was planted for the first time. Over the past ten years, Fritz Klampfl and his daughter Susanne have put their heart and soul into developing the vineyard. The generous conversion and new construction of the wine cellar enables continuous quality control. The resulting quality wines have already won several prestigious awards. The renovated press house enables the grapes to be processed quickly after the harvest. The classic wines are fermented and stored to a high standard in the tank cellar at the appropriate temperature. The reserve wines, on the other hand, mature for two years in small oak barrels in our own barrique cellar. The "Mühlacker" in particular has become a popular classic. In 2017, the winery switched to organic production and its own organic grape juice is now available in "sweet" 0.25-liter glass bottles.
