Tasting Notes
Very dark, almost opaque ruby red. Balsamic, savoury varietal aromas dominate the nose, with a hint of tar, sour and Amarena cherries. The palate opens viscous, then an extremely dense, dry tannin load takes hold, which, however, does not mask the ripe acidity and juiciness of the wine. For the long haul – but more Crozes-Hermitage than St-Joseph.
