Barrel sample. Closed on the nose, but has notes of flint and warm sandstone. On the palate initially oily with intense yellow-fruit sweetness, then a crisp acidity as a counterbalance. Densely packed with mineral extract, finely tart rather than fruity-sweet, but with extract and acidity buffering a rich late harvest sweetness. Great length, great richness and all with finesse and elegance. Life expectancy of at least 30 years.
