The red wine Rhoneblut, vintage 2020 from the winery Albert Mathier & Fils has been rated in 2021 by Benjamin Herzog, Dominik Vombach und Ursula Geiger with 88 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Valais in Switzerland.
Concentrated, ripe, dark berry fruit on the nose, with cherry nuances and notes of elderberry leaves backed by a subtle white pepper freshness. There's beautiful fullness on the palate which feels soft but with beautifully integrated tannins. The spicy, medium-long finish has a certain astringency.
