The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Altesino has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby red. Generous red berry aroma on the nose, notes of ripe cherry and ripe strawberry, also a hint of cinnamon and vanilla, milk chocolate on the finish. Superbly polished and slightly fleshy on the palate, spreads out beautifully, compact and harmonious, with a salty finish.
