The red wine L’Ermita, Velles Vinyes, Gratallops, Priorat DOCa, vintage 2023 from the winery Alvaro Palacios has been rated in 2025 by Peter Moser, Ulrich Sautter, Benjamin Herzog, Dominik Vombach with 99 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Garnacha, Carinena, Picapolla from the region Catalunya in Spain.
Deep ruby-garnet colour, purple reflections, and a broad ochre rim. Nuances of cherry and plum with a hint of nougat, candied violets, some undergrowth, subtle hints of precious wood and orange zest; a hint of slate. Complex, tightly woven, red berry notes, fine fruit and ripe, supporting tannins. Delicately chocolaty, mineral-salty on the finish, very youthful, highly elegant, with white pepper on the finish.
