The red wine Lagrein Riserva DOC, vintage 2014 from the winery Ansitz Waldgries has been rated in 2017 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Rich, deep dark ruby violet. Very present and fragrant nose, full of blackberries and mulberries, dark cherry, some cardamom. Round and supple on the palate, showing plenty of ripe berry fruit, opening up in the back with hearty, grippy tannins, still somewhat bulky on the finish.
