The red wine Syrah Collection PGI Evia, vintage 2012 from the winery Avantis Estate has been rated in 2018 by Peter Moser with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Central Greece in Greece.
Deep ruby, with purple reflections, and a discreet ochre rim. Lovely nougat caramel, delicate toasty aromas, sweet black berry fruit, fine oak notes and liquorice, a very attractive bouquet. Substantial, sweet blackberry and cherry, integrated very vivid tannins, with sweet fruit and persistence, and good freshness in the background. On the finish the powerful oak character is not yet fully integrated. It will benefit from further bottle ageing.
