Brilliant, deep ruby-violet color. A very compact, dense nose with plenty of ripe dark berry fruit, including dark currants, blackberries, and plums. Very full-bodied on the palate; opens up with fine, tightly woven tannins; builds nicely, though the finish is still somewhat diffuse.
