The red wine Barolo DOCG, vintage 2020 from the winery Bartolo Mascarello has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Clear, brightening ruby-garnet colour. Complex nose with notes of saffron, pomegranate, strawberry and wild raspberry, some dried orange peel in the background. On the palate, it is grippy with fine fruit, opens up with fine, pithy tannins, describes a wide arc, then slightly brittle on the finish.
