The red wine Amarone Classico della Valpolicella, vintage 1975 from the winery Bertani has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points.
Rich, dark garnet red, orange rim. Opens with subtle resinous notes, pickled cherries, some tar. Firm tannins, fine fruit on the mid-palate, slightly sandy and drying on the finish.
