The red wine Amarone Classico della Valpolicella, vintage 2004 from the winery Bertani has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points.
Clear ruby with a light garnet rim. Somewhat closed, dried porcini mushrooms, fine savoury notes, ripe dark cherry, exciting. Grippy, grippy tannins with a sweet core, spreads out for a very long time, salty, has very good tension, lingers for a long time.
