The red wine Amarone Classico della Valpolicella, vintage 2011 from the winery Bertani has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points.
Rich ruby with a fine garnet sheen. Slightly subdued nose, subtle notes of vegetable broth, lots of dried tomato, some cherry. Firm, gripping tannins on the palate, pronounced salty notes, good tension, somewhat sandy on the finish.
