The red wine Alessandro Chardonnay Langhe DOC, vintage 2021 from the winery Bovio has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Intense straw yellow with a golden hue. An intriguing, complex nose, with ripe apricot as well as a touch of pineapple, hazelnut and subtle reduction notes. On the palate it's elegant and powerful with great tension - it starts with lots of juicy fruit, then in comes spice and mineral notes supported by a harmonious acidity structure. An animating, mouthwatering finish ties it all together.
