Rich, flint ruby with garnet shimmer. Finely drawn nose, opens with notes of liquorice and some cloves, then lots of ripe plums, slightly malty notes in the background. Juicy and clear on the palate, fine fruit, unfortunately also quite drying wood tannin on the finish.
