The red wine »R« Veitshöchheim Sonnenschein Spätburgunder trocken Barrique, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Bürgerspital has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Franconia in Germany.
Earthy on the nose, carrot, parsnip chips, dark raspberry, a pinch of vanilla from the wood and also slightly resinous, herbal-spicy notes. In the mouth, the wine has a robust body, mellow but dense tannin fills the mid-palate, the acidity is very well integrated, youthful berry finish aromas lead off, accompanied by slightly peppery, chalky-spicy perceptions.
