The red wine Bolgheri Superiore DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Caccia Al Piano has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Intensely radiant ruby with a purple accent. Initially restrained, then nuances of preserved fruit, lots of thyme and fine roasted aromas, finally tobacco. Builds invitingly with fresh acidity, well-integrated tannins, juicy core, shows good tension right into the finish, then comes back to tart herbs.
