The red wine Barolo Gattera DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Cascina Cappellano has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Bright, rich ruby red with a flint core. Deep, slightly balsamic nose of cherries, wild berries, some cassis, then mint and peach tea. Opens on the palate with vivid dark fruit, very savoury, stretches nicely over the tongue, balanced and with salty tannin on the finish.
