The red wine San Lorenzo Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, vintage 2022 from the winery Castello di Ama has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot, Malvasia Nera from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Deep, dark ruby red with a drop of violet. Initially slightly volatile on the nose, wild berry fruit, elderberry, stony notes, leather. Sparse feel on the palate, with good drive and tight tannins, comes back beautifully juicy, elegant, balanced, with a stony finish, should age a little longer.
