Tasting Notes
Dark ruby, purple reflections, discreet brown touch on the rim. Blackberry and herbal spice, a touch of candied violets, fine noble wood spice, some nougat. On the palate dark wild berries, pleasant fruit expression , elegant, freshly structured and lively, mineral and lasting, stimulating style, has now reached a good drinking age in magnum - while some 750ml bottles have already gone past their best.
More about the tasting(The bottle at the Baumann tasting had mysteriously disappeared, the note is from Carlo Wolf's Vertikale 1997, also magnum): Good garnet red, very fine, fragante fragrance, delicate vegetal sweetness, very fine perfume. Quite tannic on the palate, the wine shows great finesse and elegance, hints of nougat and chocolate. A charmer with a fine spicy note, a real delicacy wine that still has potential.
