Tasting Notes
Strong carmine garnet, medium brightening on the rim. Initially somewhat closed on the nose, but then the full programme with air: chocolate, blueberries, nuances of gorse, a fine touch of black truffle, some sandalwood. Full-bodied on the palate, with its unmistakable vintage port texture, incredibly deep, full-bodied and fruity. A broad-shouldered wine with great aromatics, a fine aftertaste of dried fruit, shows a convincing length, simply an enchanting wine. (2011/drink/+20).
