The red wine Clos des Vergennes Grand Cru Monopole, vintage 2018 from the winery Domaine Cachat-Ocquidant & Fils has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Bourgogne in France.
Zibärtle plum, cherry brandy, some yeast and only a little wood. A considerable amount of mellow tannin, very smoothly embedded, immediately accompanied by chalky minerality, which gives the wine great tension and elegance despite the warm year and the resulting fullness. Ripe acidity, round palate flow, grand cru drive combined with juicy accessibility. A delight.
