Dark ruby, purple reflections, opaque core, delicate edge brightening. Candied orange zest, black forest berries, cassis and liquorice are in the background, fine oak notes, a hint of nougat, multi-faceted bouquet. Powerful, juicy and elegant, ripe tannins that carry well, sweet cherry fruit, nuances of plum and chocolate, but not flinty despite all the power, ideal with spicy dishes, very good certain ageing potential.
