Deep dark ruby, an opaque core, purple reflections, a subtle brightening on the rim. Hints of ripe figs, nougat, black olives, a touch of tapenade, orange confit. Powerful, juicy, blackberries, black cherries, fresh acidity, silky, ripe tannins, a salty minerality, crescendoing in finesse with aeration, a savoury food companion, cardamom, salt and cloves in the aftertaste, strong ageing potential.
