The red wine Südtirol Lagrein Maturum DOC, vintage 2011 from the winery K. Martini & Sohn has been rated in 2014 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Sparkling, intense ruby violet. Open and accessible nose, finely drawn, of ripe elderberries, some spicy notes in the background, hot pepper and ivy. Clear and straightforward on the palate, shows plenty of pithy, dense tannins, hearty, good pressure on the finish.
