The red wine Südtirol Lagrein Maturum DOC, vintage 2012 from the winery K. Martini & Sohn has been rated in 2015 by Othmar Kiem with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Sparkling ruby violet. Opens with notes of damp earth and beet, some mushroom, then also fine blackberry and cocoa. Juicy and present on the palate, showing lots of dark cherry and blackberry, opens up with fine tannins, firm pressure on the finish.
