The red wine Syrah du Valais, vintage 2017 from the winery La Madeleine – André Fontannaz et filles has been rated in 2021 by Benjamin Herzog und Dominik Vombach with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Valais in Switzerland.
Initially somewhat reductive on the nose. With a little oxygen, notes of coffee, caramel, wild berry compote and fresh plum. Elegant on the palate, with ripe acidity and aromas of stewed plums and sour cherry. Hints of salted caramel and some vanilla. Fine tannins, long finish.
