The red wine Pignolo Riserva Friuli Colli Orientali DOC, vintage 2010 from the winery La Viarte has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pignolo from the region Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Italy.
Dark ruby red colour with a garnet hue. On the nose beautiful ripe fruit, some mellow blueberry, much leather and savoury notes as well as ethereal hints. On the palate a lot of herbs, reminiscent of dried thyme, lively acidity, vivid tannins, elegant finish.
