The white wine Weißburgunder trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Landesweingut Kloster Pforta has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Weißburgunder from the region Saale-Unstrut in Germany.
Floral scent with a slightly buttery undertone, spring meadow, clover, no wood. In the mouth there is a beautiful contrast of suppleness and acidity, good density with measured alcohol content, a very gastronomic Weissburgunder with good length. Goes well with fish, vegetarian dishes and seafood pasta.
More about the tastingNutty and floral on the nose with some clover and rapeseed notes. On the palate it's textured, with very fine phenolics and a lively but ripe acidity. It's slender and clearly defined, with good density and a straightforward dry balance. A gastronomic Pinot Blanc for all occasions.
