Brilliant ruby garnet, rich to the rim. Complex nose with notes of gingerbread and chocolate, then some dates, cassis liqueur and preserved cherries: exciting. Full-bodied on the palate with very good density, lots of fine fruit texture embedded with many layers of fine tannins. Very long.
