Le Guaite di Noemi

Falstaff Wine Guide Italy 2022/23

It was 1987 when Stefano Pizzighella decided to buy a small oil mill to start producing oil using a few hectares of the family's olive grove in the hills of the small town of Mezzane di Sotto. After a few years, the family invested further in the area and planted vines on the highest part of the hills, called Le Guaite. In 2002, when the vineyards came into production, daughter Noemi Pizzighella finally began vinifying the typical Valpolicella wines under the name Le Guaite.
