The red wine Messorio Toscana IGT, vintage 2022 from the winery Le Macchiole has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear, powerful ruby colour. Opens with pronounced spice notes of cedar wood, cardamom and cigars, then plump berry fruit and some plum. Powerful and mouth-filling, at the same time very well-developed fruit, opens with grippy tannins, slightly drying on the finish.
