The white wine Confini Friuli Isonzo DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Lis Neris has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Pinot Grigio, Traminer, Riesling from the region Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Italy.
Bright, deep golden yellow in colour. Lush and aromatic on the nose with notes of lychee, grapefruit, rose petals (yes, the Gewürztraminer plays its part) and much more. The palate is powerful with a slightly creamy/oily mouthfeel, but the fresh acidity ensures the wine has plenty of drive. Balanced at a high level.
