The blanc de noirs »R« Spätburgunder Blanc de Noir, vintage 2020 from the winery Maibachfarm has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Ahr in Germany.
Powerful and full-bodied nose with ripe fruit such as raspberry and Mirabelle plum, also fine wood savouriness and stony notes. Good extract and firm structure on the palate, texture and sensitively extracted tannins. A wine that ignores the conventional idea of Blanc de Noir and can develop further.
