The red wine Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG, vintage 2012 from the winery Nicolis has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Rondinella , Croatina, Molinara from the region Veneto in Italy.
Elegant, bright ruby red. Restrained nose, slightly earthy tones, wet leafy forest floor, some eucalyptus, reverberating with pickled Amarena cherries. On the palate balanced and juicy, CARRIED by fresh berry fruit, long and DELICATE over the tongue, dense tannin, finishes emphatically fresh.
