The red wine Vanotu Barbaresco DOCG, vintage 2015 from the winery Pelissero has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Very dark, intense ruby red colour with a very slightly brightening rim. Filigree-elegant nose of graphite and lime, savoury notes of pepper and leather, also has light meat neaunces, then lots of red currants on the finish. Very powerful on the palate with lots of substance, polished tannins and well-integrated acidity, spreads out beautifully and finishes slightly harsh on the finish, needs to linger a little longer.
