The red wine Barbaresco DOCG, vintage 2014 from the winery Pio Cesare has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Bright ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. Fresh, fragrant nose with a pronounced aroma of clove and ripe cherry. Juicy on the palate, finely woven, fresh, shows fine, sweet tannins at the back, with a light nougat finish.
More about the tastingAn intense ruby colour. An open, elegant nose, sweet wild raspberries and plums, also some strawberry, playful. Juicy on the palate, finely spiced, dense, multi-layered, hearty tannins, robust and gripping, salty, fine raspberry notes on the finish.
