The red wine Burdese IGT, vintage 2011 from the winery Planeta has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc from the region Sicily in Italy.
Rich, deep ruby with fine garnet rim. Lush, intense nose, exuding rich scents of ripe dark currant, raspberry and blackberry, with subtle hints of bay leaf in the background. Juicy and round on the palate, showing lots of vivid dark berry fruit, then unfolds with dense, polished tannin, persistent, very long finish.
