The red wine Santa Cecilia Nero d'Avola Noto Rosso Sicilia DOC, vintage 2015 from the winery Planeta has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nero d’Avola from the region Sicily in Italy.
Rich, bright ruby with purple hues. Initial light liquorice notes, some cocoa, followed by lots of juicy dark cherries, plus blackberries and plums. Pithy, dense tannins, very well-integrated, lots of ripe berries, then notes of accentuated savoury spices in the back, long finish.
