The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2010 from the winery Poggio di Sotto has been rated in 2015 with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Brunello di Montalcino in Italy.
Brilliant, rich ruby colour. Very fine, yet very intense nose of violet and shrub, but also lots of raspberry, cherry, cardamom in the background, beautiful play. Juicy and round on the palate, seems to have been cast from a single mould, compact, dense, yet fine-meshed tannins in many layers, fresh fruit and fine texture, very long.
