The red wine Crasto Douro DOC, vintage 2017 from the winery Quinta do Crasto has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Tempranillo, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Vinhão from the region Douro in Portugal.
Deep ruby in colour with purple reflections, and subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose, an inviting bouquet of dark fruits of the forest confit underpinned with candied orange zest, and delicate nougat. The palate has a medium body, with fresh acidity, red berry nuances, mineral and lemony, a versatile, uncomplicated food wine. Very good value for money!.
