The red wine Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione Sergio Zingarelli, vintage 2012 from the winery Rocca delle Macìe - Famiglia Zingarelli has been rated in 2017 by Othmar Kiem with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear, intense ruby with a fine garnet sheen. Intense and finely marked nose, rich with ripe cherries, plums and raspberries, underpinned by cinnamon tones. Firm and sturdy on the palate, builds well, lots of finely-meshed, dense tannin, coated with fruit texture, very long finish.
