Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate bright rim. Attractive nuances of ripe cherry, underlay of plum fruit, discreet hints of fine oak and nougat. Complex, pronounced fruit, vivid well-integrated tannins, spicy finish, persistent, it is a powerful food wine with good ageing potential.
