Dense, impenetrable ruby violet. Very dense, appealing nose, full of ripe elderberries, cassis, underlaid with notes of cedar and sandalwood. Juicy on the palate, lots of lush fruit, blackberries and plums, then opens up with taut, slightly drying tannins at the back, somewhat rough on the finish.
