Impenetrable, bright ruby purple; initially shows slightly smoky mineral tones on the nose, lots of plum and cherry; presents itself on the palate with mountains of fruit, plus grippy, fine-grained tannin, subtle bitter notes on the finish, ends on dark chocolate.
