Rich, deep dark ruby with a slight violet shimmer. Intense and very appealing nose of rum pot with lots of cherries and plums, but also lots of cherry juice, plus fine gingerbread spices. Full-bodied and rich on the palate, very persistent, lots of sweet fruit, but well balanced by tannin and acidity, Black Forest cake.
