The sekt NV »Prestige« Riesling extra brut from the winery Strauch Sektmanufaktur has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Light yeasty notes, subtle roasted notes, mineral notes, lime blossoms, peach and fine smoke. On the palate, a grippy acidity, with a delicate mousse and a very fine minerality.
More about the tastingGreengage plum, apple, peach on the nose, a finely nuanced but not tired maturity in the savouriness. An animating acidity unfolds on the palate, accompanied by a fine mousse, juicy and full of tension, long, with good aromatic length. Goes well with food.
More about the tastingPale lemon yellow colour. Fine mousse. A nose of rather dark fruits, very precise, as well as a brioche note. On the palate an attractive floral note, fine interplay of striking acidity and very good extract. Plenty of structure. Complex, long finish.
