The red wine La Bandina Valpolicella Superiore DOC, vintage 2016 from the winery Tenuta Sant'Antonio has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Rondinella , Croatina, Oseleta from the region Veneto in Italy.
Deep, rich ruby red. On the nose initially savoury and delicate barrel notes, opens on Amarena cherries and plums, has something fumé, coffee chocolate on the finish. Very full palate, here again notes of coffee, toasted, spreads wide, full sip with a long finish, becomes slightly bitter at the end.
