The red wine Punta Aquila Primitivo Salento IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery Tenute Rubino has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Primitivo from the region Puglia in Italy.
It has an intense and dark purple colour with a slightly ruby tinge. It is open and fruity on the nose, with aromas of ripe wild berry, rich plum and cherry. It is very harmonious on the palate with a lovely texture and well-integrated acidity, and a nice interplay of fruit in the mid palate. It has a round and juicy finish.
